What We Do

We specialize in bringing the frequently indoors to the great outdoors. Through our comprehensive discovery process, we’ll plan a hike, paddle, or trail ride that is tailored to you and your group’s location, interests, fitness, pre-existing skillset, and sense of adventure. Then we’ll help outfit your group and guide the trip. Whether it’s just a new experience that lasts a few hours, a weekend practice/shakedown for a larger trek, or a weeklong expedition across the region, we will be with you every step of the way.

About Us

Privateer Outdoors combines decades of experience in planning and executing trips, training leaders, and enabling growth among adventurers of all ages. Through scouting (both as a youth and an adult leader), wilderness search and rescue, and by working in state parks, we have perfected our ability to bring our clients into the outdoors safely and comfortably, while also providing memories that will last a lifetime. Outdoor interpretation is a large part of what we do, since adding historical context, providing environmental insight, or identifying summer constellations helps create indelible memories. We’ll provide you with all the education and hands-on training you need to confidently pursue all your adventures.
